I believe that all of our experiences can enrich us if we can find meaning and reclaim our strength after suffering. I help clients understand how the brain strives ever toward survival, and to use that understanding to transform old thought patterns that have kept them stuck in the past. I work with adult individuals on the premise of resilience, that our brains can and do evolve all the time. I also offer Supervision services to interns and LCMHCAs, both individually and in small peer groups.

My focus is helping people address symptoms of trauma and loss by supporting them to heal and reclaim their place in the world. I help people transform their lives through evidence based treatments including guided imagery, DBT, CBT, ACT, and Attachment Focused Relationship treatment. My identity is rooted in a deep love of people's stories, and genuine interest in how they have integrated their experiences. I have over 30 years of serving people through outreach, volunteering, teaching, case management and counseling. Additionally I am a strong LGBTQ ally and seek to educate our community about how to better understand each other.

My current licensure is through North Carolina, but I’m excited to be developing new workshops and intensive sessions in South Carolina. I offer virtual sessions for clients and am available for in-person sessions every Friday in West Asheville.
